Medical Surgical Nursing

This two-day workshop is designed for those registered professional nurses who are considering taking the Certification Examination in Medical-Surgical Nursing.

Registered Nurses attending this workshop will be prepared to take the certification examination and present techniques that will enhance their ability to pass. This two day comprehensive workshop will provide an in depth review of Medical Surgical nursing knowledge to meet current standards.

The certification examination is computerized and offered throughout the year. A test site can be established for you with adequate notice. The website at nursecredentialing.org is available to complete the application process.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe the techniques for preparing for the medical surgical review exam.
• Relate the pathophysiologic basis of various diseases.
• Medical/Surgical patients using the nursing process, including nursing assessment and interventions.
• Outline the legal, ethical and professional responsibilities of the medical-surgical nurse.

In order to receive CHs\CEUs, participants are required to attend both session and complete an evaluation.
