Emergency Nursing

This comprehensive, two-day workshop is the key to success for registered ​nurses who are planning to take the ENA examination for Certification in Emergency Nursing.

The CEN exam is computerized and offered throughout the year. The website at www.ena.org will guide you through eligibility and application process.

This education program offers the nurse the opportunity to establish a level of knowledge necessary to meet the requirements to sit for the Certification in Emergency Nursing. The registered nurse will be able to assess and measure their level of knowledge necessary to function at the current competency levels in accordance with the Standards of Emergency Nursing.

Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Describe the techniques for preparing for the certification exam in emergency nursing
• Outline the legal, ethical and professional responsibilities of the Emergency Room Nurse
• Relate the pathophysiologic basis of various diseases using the nursing process, including evaluation of effectiveness of nursing care of various Emergency patients including nursing assessment and interventions
