This course is held via video conference over a 4 day period, meeting for 3 hours each day.
This program is designed to provide the participant with updated information to assist in the preparation for the Adult Critical Care RN examination. The test plan includes the following eight major categories: Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Renal, Neurology, Endocrine, Hematology/Immunology, Gastrointestinal, and Multisystem. This course
prepares participants to be successful in taking the examination and provides valuable tools to improve clinical practice.
The CCRN examination is computerized and offered throughout the year. The website at www.aacn.org will guide you through the application process.
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the clinical manifestations of selected conditions in each of the eight major categories in the test plan.
- Identify the assessment parameters used in clinical practice to assist in providing care for the patient with clinical manifestations of the selected conditions in each of the eight major categories in the test plan.
- Discuss measures to apply principles addressed to everyday clinical practice.
- In order to receive CHs\CEUs, participants are required to attend both sessions and complete an evaluation.
