This course is held via video conference over a 4 day period, meeting for 3 hours each day.
Nurses working in positions of leadership and management want the opportunity to learn about changes in the standards of practice, and validate their knowledge of management of resources, finance, and workforce. Discussion with individuals in these positions have identified the need for continuing education related to Nurse Executive role, responsibility and scope of practice, and updates to the standards of practice in this specialty area.
As more hospitals move toward magnet status, they are requiring nurses to achieve certification in their specialty area. In management, nurses are increasingly being required to seek further instruction and to validate their knowledge of management of resources, finance, and workforce.
The Participants in the Nurse Executive Certification Review Course will be able to achieve a competency level to successfully pass the Nurse Executive Certification Examination. Nurses working in the position of leadership and management will be able to identify current standards of practice and areas of knowledge required for this examination
- The Objectives for this Course are:Discuss the concepts related to the Structure and Processes for the Nurse Executive.
- Identify the principles of Transformational Leadership for the Nurse Executive
- Describe the Professional Practice issues for the Nurse Executive.
- Review the Knowledge and Practice Applications for the Nurse Executive
