Medical Surgical Nursing Certification - March 14th & 15th (Thursday & Friday)
Medical-surgical nursing has evolved from an entry-level position to a distinct specialty and is a vital part of every hospital. Medical-surgical nurses are the largest group of practicing professionals. This program is designed to provide the participant with updated information to assist in the preparation for the Medical/Surgical Certification examination either by ANCC or AMSN and will help to increase the participant’s knowledge for practice in this specialty area.
Upon successful completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1.Describe the techniques for preparing for the medical surgical review exam.
2.Relate the pathophysiologic basis of various diseases of Medical/Surgical patients using the nursing process, including nursing assessment and interventions.
3. Discuss the nursing assessment and interventions related to selected disorders within each body system.
4. Describe the key issues related to current nursing practice and standards Please arrive at 8 a.m. on the
first day to complete registration.
