The NCLEX-RN is a test that focuses on assessing the nurses’ ability to safely and competently provide nursing care to patients. The focus is on making decisions in the clinical area and using sound nursing judgment. The examination is based on the total nursing process.
The three-day review class (with testing on the 4th day) will provide the student with the tools they need for success in the NCLEX-RN. A systems approach is used to review the content needed to be ready to answer the required number of questions and pass successfully. Medication related to each system is integrated into the review. Decision making, delegation and problem solving are also addressed. Additionally, NCLEX style questions are reviewed to enhance content and guide the student through the process of test taking. Faculty will also be available for six weeks following the course completion to review, guide, and respond to questions to support student success. Upon completion of this 18 hour review course, the participants will be able to:
Identify key concepts in test taking techniques
Utilize strategies to improve critical thinking
Develop a study plan to ensure success on the NCLEX
Identify key issues in nursing care using a systems approach
This program uses power point, video, case studies, and content specific test questions to support the learning process for participants.
